What Beatomat is, whose music it plays, and what you agree to by listening.
What this is
Beatomat is a web app that selects, sequences and mixes music into continuous sets, and gives you two decks to mix them yourself. It is offered as it is, with no guarantee that it will be available, that a particular track will play, or that a set will be to your taste.
The plans
- Free is listening for as long as you like, every finished mix, the AI DJ, 30 minutes of mixing a day and two effects. When the 30 minutes run out the music keeps playing; for the rest of the day each record ends with a short fade instead of a mix.
- Unlimited takes the mixing limit away, opens the full effect rack, and includes playing Beatomat in public, at a bar or an event.
Free is for listening on your own or with friends. Unlimited is not on sale yet; its price and its billing terms will be stated on this page before anyone can buy it. See Plans.
The music is not ours
No music is hosted here. Independent tracks stream from Audius under the Open Audio License and from the Internet Archive under Creative Commons licences, and everything else plays from YouTube in YouTube's own embedded player. Copyright in every track stays with the artist who made it. Beatomat names the artist and links back to the source for each track, which is what those licences require and what the artists deserve: see Credits.
YouTube
Because Beatomat plays YouTube videos through the embedded player, using it means you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data collected by the embedded player is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Beatomat does not download, copy, store or separate the audio from any YouTube video, and does not hide or obstruct the player.
The mixes are made by software
The AI DJ's sets and the finished mixes on this site are assembled by software, and the site says so on each one. The selections are not endorsements by the artists, and no artist named here is affiliated with Beatomat.
Accounts
An account exists only to keep the sets you kept and the mixes you saved. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You may have your account and everything attached to it deleted at any time by asking — see the privacy policy.
Fair use of the service
Do not attempt to script, scrape or automate the app, overwhelm it, or use it to redistribute music. Requests are rate-limited so that one visitor cannot exhaust the daily allowance the app has with the services it depends on.
Liability
Beatomat is provided without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, no liability is accepted for any loss arising from using it. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited.
Reporting a problem
If you are an artist or rights holder and want a track removed from the library, email andinicolescu02@gmail.com and it will be taken out.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them.
